The Hi Rocky Store is THE fishing store for every type of fisherman and or fisherwoman. We offer a variety of fishing tackle for bait fishing, boat fishing, spinner fishing and fly fishing. We have the most in-expensive flies in the valley and the toughest too. We are the place to come if you want to learn where to fish, what to fish with and how to do it.
The Arkansas Valley offers some of the best fly fishing opportunities in southern Colorado. We have a variety of guided fly fishing options available through our store.
Our lead wade guide, Dan Stockton, has over twelve years experience fly fishing the Arkansas River and surrounding waters. Catching fish is the name of the game…but Dan feels that becoming a better, more informed angler is equally important. The goal is to customize your trip so that no matter what your ability level is you will have had a truly memorable experience and walk away a much better angler.
Full day walk/wade
The guide and angler control the pace of the experience, much more than float fishing. Most anglers wade fish on their own, so lessons learned from your guide may be directly applicable to your normal fishing experience. Just the act of being on the water for a full day can expose the angler to multiple feeding patterns. This package provides all the ingredients for a great instructional adventure. Lunch and drinks included. Eight hours on the water.

An excellent way for a novice to learn the basics. An experienced angler can learn techniques that are commonly used on the Arkansas. Four hours on the water.

Long effortless drifts. Unfettered access to productive water and the pure enjoyment of boating. You will cover seven to fifteen miles (depending on flows). Lunch and drinks included. Eight hours on the water.

For the uninitiated, fly fishing can appear intriguing but intimidating, too complicated to attempt. Nonsense! Sign up for a full day or half day never-ever package and we will fully outfit and guide you. Rod, reel, waders, boots, license, leader, tippet, and flies. Eight or four hours of beginning instruction. We will cover the whole spectrum of fly fishing.
